During the summer, it's all about Food, Fun, Friends and Family -- and there's no better way to celebrate the season than with a backyard barbecue. Folks everywhere will break out their grills to savor the succulent taste of smoked burgers, racks of ribs and other gourmet grilling delights.

The main goal of my backyard barbecue is to make the event enjoyable yet edible. So if your backyard barbecue baron is best known for burning the burgers or charring the chicken, help is at hand.  Tantalize the taste buds of your guests with these tips and they'll come back for seconds all summer long.

Just in time to save your summer, here are a few of Curtis' hottest hints that are sure to make grilling season sizzle:

Organize! Prioritize! Know what you need and buy all of your ingredients, condiments and other grilling accessories ahead of time.

Do what works. The Grill is not sacred. Pre-cooked and prepare as much of the food beforehand so you can enjoy the barbecue with friends and family.

Less is More. Of course you can experiment with ingredients and seasonings, but don't overdo them because they can dominate the taste of the food.

Pull out all the stops. Seasonings and condiments make your traditional dishes distinctive and more interesting. So go ahead and be bold with your own fruit-and-vegetable-based ketchups, relishes and salsas that are spicy, tart or sweet.

Grill Trouble Free. Have this summer's secret ingredient on hand for those guests who tend to shy away from well-seasoned, flavorful dishes. Pepcid AC Chewables can stop heartburn before it starts when taken before a meal!
