This past weekend what we (three families) planed to do and what I ended up doing are 3000 miles apart.  Our plan was to spend the King Holiday weekend skiing in Tahoe , well all the rooms were booked! How about a day trip, Saturday none of the kids liked that idea although we parents were thinking how much money could be save by doing the day trip instead of a long weekend. Turns out , out of 10 kids all but 3 had some type of sporting event over the weekend, there goes the day trip. Both of my boys had indoor soccer games, plus my oldest refferees indoor games as well. I’m all for that he erins his own cash!

So early Saturday morning I get a call form the Jane Pauley Show, Jane wants to teach her kids Ross, Tim and Doughter to cook, and she want me to be one of the teacher. Jane Pauley is one of this countries great jurnoulys , but great cook she is not! Sunday afternoon after picking Curtis Jr and his friends form paint balling and hitting golf balls with Cole. I am off to SFO for a red eye flight to NYC where I’ll teaching cooking 101, Chef Curtis Style. I check into the famous Waldorf Astoria about 5:30 am for a couple of hours sleep before meeting my student Jane’s oldest son Ross.

He learned to make my Oven BBQ Ribs and Potatoes, Steamed Vegetables, Garlic Bread and Peach Cobbler
